Vision

"Table of Grace Christian Church seeks to be a haven from the chaos of the world where all sorts of families can explore their Christian spirituality and grow in their faith in a way that is in harmony with their postmodern and intellectually engaged worldview."

The church today needs to find new ways to welcome people who have found the church to be inconsistent with their own worldview.  The church can be dogmatic, inflexible, hurtful and judgmental.

People are starting to identify themselves as “spiritual but not religious” in response to their perception that the church does not have anything to offer them.

However, it is possible to be a faith community that seeks understanding, compassion, welcome and healing.  Even more, it is possible to embrace the Christian traditions and lift up a life of faith in Christ while striving to learn more about God through a variety of faith and life experiences.

People are missing a richness that comes from growing in faith as part of such a community.

The growing suburbs of Sacramento are deeply affected by a very secular, over-programmed, “busy” life where family time is consumed by commutes, postmodern worldview is the norm and true community is hard to find.

Table of Grace Christian Church seeks to be a haven from the chaos of the world where all sorts of families can explore their Christian spirituality and grow in their faith iin a way that is in harmony with their postmodern and intellectually engaged worldview.
