Our Plans

We are often asked about our plans for weekly worship, a building, and some of the other items commonly associated with "church."

We feel that the most important aspect of a faith community is the relationships found within it. Therefore, we are focussed first on spending our limited financial and time resources on nurturing vital relationships and community.

We are also committed to service to the community and developing a discipline of spiritual practice. Neither of these need a building during the very beginning stages.

We worked on building our ministry in Elk Grove for almost a year and a half and are excited in September 2007 to move into rental space and begin weekly, public worship. We are meeting in the Community Room of Elk Grove Congregational Church at 9624 Melrose Ave.

In the long term, we do hope to acquire land and build a "church" building. In Elk Grove, real estate is a bit hard to come by and there is no land set aside for churches amidst our rapid development. Therefore, there is no clear timeline for reaching this goal.

As our vision for ministry grows and evolves, we will continue to evaluate our need for space, stability and flexibility. God is good and will lead us into our future. Come and be part of this emerging, growing and vital faith community - our future is full of possibility!
